When you talk about 4WD heat exchanger hot water camping showers,

everyone knows about GLIND.

We don’t have to make outrageous

claims about our heat exchangers,

because……well, everyone knows they’re the best.

Don’t be fooled by imitations.

Did you know that some heat exchangers on the market are prone to corrosion, or require sacrifical anodes to stop corrosion of your engine and your heat exchanger simply because of the material they are made from? GLIND heat exchangers are made from a co-polymer glass filled nylon 66, the same material used to make the top and bottom radiator tanks, so due to the much lower surface area of copper, corrosion problems are non existent and annodes are not required. Buy quality, buy Glind.

The GHE06F version of the GLIND heat exchanger comes with 3/8″ Female BSP fittings on both the inlet and outlet fresh water ports. For compatibility and ease of use, the engine coolant side is also 3/8″ Female BSP which allows the heat exchanger to be placed in line or hidden so that the outlet of the fresh water delivery hose can be run straight to a shower, sink, or to an external shower connector fitting at the front or rear of a vehicle.

The Glind heat exchanger as it sits on the mount bracket, measures 335 mm long and is 105 mm high. Remember to add a little on each end to accommodate for hose connection through your desired fitting requirements. The beauty of this heat exchanger is that it can be mounted horizontally or vertically so fitting becomes simpler. If you need a tight hose bend on the ends we have Male elbows, Female elbows or Male/Female elbows also available. Want direct hose Barb connections ? We can do straight, 45 & 90 degree in most configurations to suit your desired hose size. Compression fittings, Male flare, Inverted Flare, you name it, we’ve got it and our competitors DO NOT. We offer multiple options for connection that our competitors can’t match.

In many modern vehicles, the engine rpm must be lifted to approx 1500 rpm in order to get sufficient coolant flow, and while this may not be necessary in the warmer months, it is essential in the cooler months.

Heat exchangers need 2 things, heat and flow. The heat is governed by the thermostat rating and the flow is determined by engine rpm. More rpm = more flow =more heat transfer.

The modern engines of all sizes, have to meet global emission laws, and as such, coolant is diverted to accommodate this, for example, turbo’s, intercoolers, transmission coolers, EGR’s and DPF’s and as such, the coolant flow is reduced. But this is overcome by lifting engine rpm and it pumps extra amps into the battery system.

If you recirculate and pre-heat the water from a 20lt drum, this system will provide 2 really good showers. Simply wet yourself down, then shut the pump off by shutting off the Glind shower rose, then soap yourself up, then re-activate the pump by opening the flow control on the shower rose and rinse off. Too easy.

The Glind heat exchangers are sealed units, so the brass fittings CANNOT be changed or altered.

Comes with the standard mount plate, spacers, nuts and bolts, so it is ready to fit.

See fitting instructions for use with hot and cold taps by using only 1 pressure pump.
